What I expected
I have ordered this product at least twice. I have received minimal duplicates of my own personal collection, and have been able to get items for my toddler, my husband and myself all in one box--with some things that I have put aside until my kids are older. Really, with the regular prices of the types of products in the box, $10 is not that much for a fun surprise in the mail.

Blah!
Not only were the contents of this box NOT a $100 value, they weren't worth the $10 that I paid for them! It contained only things for small children and mostly cheesy, low-budget and old DVD's, books. It contained one nice Max Lucado book but, unfortunately, I don't have small children. I guess Christianbook.com makes no promises as to the contents of the surprise box but honestly, I still expected more.

Mystery or Misery?
I have not even received the box and already know that I have wasted my money!
6 of the titles I have ordered in the last month from CBD. I actually took the time to ask questions before I ordered the "mystery" box. All the books are available for the lowest prices. That plus the postage means that the only mystery is why I choose to wast my money.

Great value for your money
I love surprises, so I (once again) couldn't resist this mystery box! I ordered one about two years ago or so and loved the content. I figured with so much time in between orders I wouldn't risk getting a book twice.
While there was indeed one book enclosed that I previously received, there was a broad spectrum of new novels included too. I plan to read most of them and the rest will be put to use for gifting purposes. Not giving away too much now (this is supposed to be a surprise after all and will probably change a bit from box to box too), but generally I'd say the content of the box is aimed at female adult readers.
As far as the value of the box is concerned, all of the books are available for substantialy higher prices when bought separately, in one case a book cost even more than the whole box.
