Tell us a little about yourself. I am a former research chemist who fell in love with teaching about 12 years ago. I have been teaching the Apologia series for the last ten years, and I love getting up every morning because of it.
What was your motivation behind this project? Teaching online has its limitations. I could not teach 24/7 to meet every time zone, so we came up with the idea to record the lessons. We current have families using the DVDs in forty-seven nations, many of which we cannot serve with a live course.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope people develop a passion for God and His Creation by what they hear. My prayer each morning is, "God use me to tell people about your goodness and plan for us."
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? ? I was a classically-educated, professional scientist. Teaching Dr. Wile's materials opened my eyes to God's Creation as never before. I always believed, but now I have facts to support that belief. My life was forever changed because of it.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Dr. Jay L. Wile listened to me teach one class and he hired me on the spot. He and I have a mentor/friend relationship that I truly cherish.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: My wife, Shelly, our Golden Retriever, Cleo, and I all work together on this project. We give away one DVD to a missionary family for each one we sell. We record new classes each year, so that the DVDs are always up to date with the latest information. If you would like to be part of the next fall's class, please contact us. We are always looking for good students.
