When George H.W. Bush asked his daughter Doro (short for "Dorothy") to write this memoir, she contacted hundreds of his friends and associates; conducted scores of interviews with dignitaries, including Bill Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev and General Colin Powell. She also tapped the moemories of family members, including her mother, her four brothers and, of course, her father. Doro reveals her father as a young man, the death of his first daughter, and his long and storied career in politics.
