Publisher's Description

In East Salem, the elite St. Adrian’s Academy is at the nexus of a satanic apocalypse—and the fatal tide is rising.

When Hieronymus Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights is reunited with the pagans who commissioned it, a dark prophecy begins to unfold in East Salem, beginning with a savage double-murder by hellish creatures straight out of the painting itself. The lone survivor of the attack, a seventeen-year-old Brit, finds sanctuary at Tommy Gunderson’s home—and the place is soon surrounded by demons who seem to be biding their time . . . but for how long?

Tommy’s pond has been contaminated with Provivilan—an insidious drug that could transform New York City’s children into an army of violence addicted murderers. But for an occult cabal in the upper echelons of Linz Pharmaceuticals, contaminating the water supply is just part of an ancient conspiracy against all of humankind.

As the clouds gather, Tommy and Dani realize they must infiltrate Linz and St. Adrian’s to stop the dissemination of Provivilan. Even then, it could take a tangible eruption of the battle between angels and demons to save humanity from the supernatural evils that have been summoned to East Salem.

Fatal Tide is the third and final book in the East Salem Trilogy. The evil that started at St. Andrians has grown almost out of control and Tommy, Dani, Quinn & Cassandra race against time to stop the spread of the virus that turns teenage boys into super killers. However one of the obstacles that stands in the way are hounds from hell lurking in the forest just beyond Tommys property. We also get to meet government agent ED Stanley who is a fellow believer and represents a group of Christians that work inside the US government and are ready to take on whatever challenge the evil one thows at them.

This book has three different plots, Casandra goes after the man that founded the virus, Quinn goes after the virus itself and Tommy, Dani and Reese take on the Hounds of Hell. Usually I find that books that have this many plot going on it is sometimes difficult to keep things straight and the plots may get jumbled. But with this book I found that not only was it fairly easy to keep everything straight, the different plots actually came together and made sence at the end of the book!

There are several aspects to this book that I loved but the one that I like the best were the humorous one liners that are sprinkled throughout this book. For being such a dark book, it brought some much needed relief and it also brought at more human side to the characters. Humor is good for the soul, and Im glad that the authors didnt forget that.

I liked the way that the hounds of hell were written and how they were linked to both the natural world and the supernatural world. Angels Charlie & Ben make several appearances and of course help fight the enemy.

On the other side of the coin as with the other books, one thing stood out, that there was very little about God or Jesus. Tommy was the only one that had any real faith. Spiritual Warfare includes prayer, lot of prayer and unfortunately this book left that out. So I have to give this book at 3.5 stars for that reason.

I probably should not have read "Fatal Tide" because I didn't really care for the previous book in this series, but I do like the author Lis Wiehl. I am also not a big fan of Science Fiction so I knew what I was getting into.

A dark prophecy begins to be fulfilled in East Salem. A double murder takes place by creatures from hell and Hieronymus Bosch's painting, Garden of Earthly Delights. A lone survival takes refuge in Tommy Gunderson's home. Tommy's pond is contaminated with Provivilan—an insidious drug that could transform New York City's children into an army of violence-addicted murderers. But for an occultish pharmaceutical company, poisoning the water supply of the city is only the beginning.

Tommy's friends must infiltrate St. Adrians if they are going to stop this evil. Eventually they fight against demons who were just bidding their time.

Their is much suspense. Tommy's ex girlfriend and Dani ex boy friend are involved on side with the good guys. You find yourself liking these characters and your heart raises when the put their lives on the line.

It was a good read. Tommy and Dani's relationship grows and so their is suspense and romance. What else could you want?

The problems I have is that I don't think Christians can kill demons on a physical level. I also don't believe in twin Telepathy. One twin cannot just think a thought and the other twin hundreds of miles away "hear" that thought.

I guess I would rate this book three out of five stars.

I was given this book as part of the Booksneeze blogger program. I was not required to write a positive review.

"Fatal Tide" by Lis Wiehl is the last novel in the East Salem series. The series star Tommy, a former NFL star turned private detective, and Dani, who works with the District Attorney. The two have been following a series of events that involve a private school for the elite boys of the world and world wide demonic events. In this finale, the two and their team unite to prevent the demons from contaminating the drinking water of the world with a drug that turns everyone into super-soldiers.

This book has all the conspiracy/paranormal stuff of the world. Demonic beasts, demons, angels, twinstincts, and super drugs. It almost has too much. It would be more intense if it were more believable. I liked the first book in the series much more than the rest of the books. However, this book is essential to the series. I would give it a B-. I received this book for free from www.booksneeze.com.

Fatal Tide by Lis Wiehl is the third book in the East Salem trilogy. It starts out very fast paced, and I couldn't put the book down! It picks up right where book two left off. Reese, a 17 year old boy, is in the car with 2 men, trying to get him to safety, when their car is attacked by demons. Reese is the only survivor.

Tommy and Dani are trying to figure out the mystery, and who/what is the dead body in Tommy's pond, and who killed him? And will they be able to stop the plot to contaminate the world's water supplies? And what really is going on at St. Adrian's Academy?

This story has a lot of mystery and intrigue, and yet, a bit of a love story, as you are anxiously waiting to see if Tommy will ever get a chance to ask Dani to marry him. You bite your nails, as Quinn and Cassandra go undercover, to try to help Tommy and Dani solve the mysteries.

I have mixed feelings about this book. Yes, I love the mystery and intrigue. But, some things were just too hard for me to grasp--as in being able to shoot and kill demons, and that demons would show up blue, on an infra red scope. I loved the old Frank Peretti's books, as they would really open your eyes to see that we need to pray--and that when the saints began to pray, the angels would be strengthened, and be able to defeat the demons. In this book--they don't pray to defeat the demons, but shoot them with guns, in a real battle, and not supernaturally. What does Corinthians say about our weapons? They aren't carnal (or physical). I also didn't like the "twinspeak" in the book--where twins can see and speak to each other, even thousands of miles apart.

I received a complimentary copy of the book, Fatal Tide, from BookSneeze and Thomas Nelson, for my honest review.

Lis Wiehl with Pete Nelson have written another top-seller! East Salem Trilogy began with Waking Hours #1 and continued with Darkness Rising #2. The story picks up on December 20th; George Gardener and Julian Villanegre are escorting Reese, a young man home from St. Adrian's, to England at Tommy Gunderson's wishes.

The evil that has taken over St. Adrian's Academy is seeping out into the world. Dani and Tommy continue to battle the unseen forces while protecting those they love and care about. As the demon creatures surround Tommy's home, his love for all thing "techy" helps them see what they are really up against. With Reese's help and others, the true satanic conspiracy becomes clear and the battle lines are drawn.

I once again enjoyed being immersed in the world of good versus evil. Thanks to Lis Wiehl for crafting a wonderful story of God's faithfulness to His children!
