In East Salem, the elite St. Adrians Academy is at the nexus of a satanic apocalypseand the fatal tide is rising.
When Hieronymus Boschs Garden of Earthly Delights is reunited with the pagans who commissioned it, a dark prophecy begins to unfold in East Salem, beginning with a savage double-murder by hellish creatures straight out of the painting itself. The lone survivor of the attack, a seventeen-year-old Brit, finds sanctuary at Tommy Gundersons homeand the place is soon surrounded by demons who seem to be biding their time . . . but for how long?
Tommys pond has been contaminated with Provivilanan insidious drug that could transform New York Citys children into an army of violence addicted murderers. But for an occult cabal in the upper echelons of Linz Pharmaceuticals, contaminating the water supply is just part of an ancient conspiracy against all of humankind.
As the clouds gather, Tommy and Dani realize they must infiltrate Linz and St. Adrians to stop the dissemination of Provivilan. Even then, it could take a tangible eruption of the battle between angels and demons to save humanity from the supernatural evils that have been summoned to East Salem.

PastorWisconsinAge: 45-54Gender: male3 Stars Out Of 5Great IntrigueJanuary 7, 2014PastorWisconsinAge: 45-54Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4I probably should not have read "Fatal Tide" because I didn't really care for the previous book in this series, but I do like the author Lis Wiehl. I am also not a big fan of Science Fiction so I knew what I was getting into.
A dark prophecy begins to be fulfilled in East Salem. A double murder takes place by creatures from hell and Hieronymus Bosch's painting, Garden of Earthly Delights. A lone survival takes refuge in Tommy Gunderson's home. Tommy's pond is contaminated with Provivilan—an insidious drug that could transform New York City's children into an army of violence-addicted murderers. But for an occultish pharmaceutical company, poisoning the water supply of the city is only the beginning.
Tommy's friends must infiltrate St. Adrians if they are going to stop this evil. Eventually they fight against demons who were just bidding their time.
Their is much suspense. Tommy's ex girlfriend and Dani ex boy friend are involved on side with the good guys. You find yourself liking these characters and your heart raises when the put their lives on the line.
It was a good read. Tommy and Dani's relationship grows and so their is suspense and romance. What else could you want?
The problems I have is that I don't think Christians can kill demons on a physical level. I also don't believe in twin Telepathy. One twin cannot just think a thought and the other twin hundreds of miles away "hear" that thought.
I guess I would rate this book three out of five stars.
I was given this book as part of the Booksneeze blogger program. I was not required to write a positive review.
beckieAge: 35-44Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5fatal tide reviewJanuary 1, 2014beckieAge: 35-44Gender: female"Fatal Tide" by Lis Wiehl is the last novel in the East Salem series. The series star Tommy, a former NFL star turned private detective, and Dani, who works with the District Attorney. The two have been following a series of events that involve a private school for the elite boys of the world and world wide demonic events. In this finale, the two and their team unite to prevent the demons from contaminating the drinking water of the world with a drug that turns everyone into super-soldiers.
This book has all the conspiracy/paranormal stuff of the world. Demonic beasts, demons, angels, twinstincts, and super drugs. It almost has too much. It would be more intense if it were more believable. I liked the first book in the series much more than the rest of the books. However, this book is essential to the series. I would give it a B-. I received this book for free from www.booksneeze.com.
Debbie MWisconsinAge: 45-54Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5Fast paced thrillerOctober 30, 2013Debbie MWisconsinAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 3Fatal Tide by Lis Wiehl is the third book in the East Salem trilogy. It starts out very fast paced, and I couldn't put the book down! It picks up right where book two left off. Reese, a 17 year old boy, is in the car with 2 men, trying to get him to safety, when their car is attacked by demons. Reese is the only survivor.
Tommy and Dani are trying to figure out the mystery, and who/what is the dead body in Tommy's pond, and who killed him? And will they be able to stop the plot to contaminate the world's water supplies? And what really is going on at St. Adrian's Academy?
This story has a lot of mystery and intrigue, and yet, a bit of a love story, as you are anxiously waiting to see if Tommy will ever get a chance to ask Dani to marry him. You bite your nails, as Quinn and Cassandra go undercover, to try to help Tommy and Dani solve the mysteries.
I have mixed feelings about this book. Yes, I love the mystery and intrigue. But, some things were just too hard for me to grasp--as in being able to shoot and kill demons, and that demons would show up blue, on an infra red scope. I loved the old Frank Peretti's books, as they would really open your eyes to see that we need to pray--and that when the saints began to pray, the angels would be strengthened, and be able to defeat the demons. In this book--they don't pray to defeat the demons, but shoot them with guns, in a real battle, and not supernaturally. What does Corinthians say about our weapons? They aren't carnal (or physical). I also didn't like the "twinspeak" in the book--where twins can see and speak to each other, even thousands of miles apart.
I received a complimentary copy of the book, Fatal Tide, from BookSneeze and Thomas Nelson, for my honest review.
HS Mom of 4Georgia, USAAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great book... terrific series!October 17, 2013HS Mom of 4Georgia, USAAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Lis Wiehl with Pete Nelson have written another top-seller! East Salem Trilogy began with Waking Hours #1 and continued with Darkness Rising #2. The story picks up on December 20th; George Gardener and Julian Villanegre are escorting Reese, a young man home from St. Adrian's, to England at Tommy Gunderson's wishes.
The evil that has taken over St. Adrian's Academy is seeping out into the world. Dani and Tommy continue to battle the unseen forces while protecting those they love and care about. As the demon creatures surround Tommy's home, his love for all thing "techy" helps them see what they are really up against. With Reese's help and others, the true satanic conspiracy becomes clear and the battle lines are drawn.
I once again enjoyed being immersed in the world of good versus evil. Thanks to Lis Wiehl for crafting a wonderful story of God's faithfulness to His children!

lcjohnson1988IndianaAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5October 9, 2013lcjohnson1988IndianaAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Fatal Tide continues the action and wild ride of Dani Harris and Tommy Gunderson began in the first two books, Waking Hours and Darkness Rising. I recommend the other two books be read first so the reader will know what is going on. All the main characters return in this installment with Tommy's bad puns, his aunt Ruth's many guns and librarian smarts and Dani's no nonsense logic.
One of the students, Reese, from St. Aidan's has escaped and come to Tommy's house looking for help. At first, Reese is reluctant to trust those ensconced in Tommy's house and these members feel the same about Reese. Can they learn to trust each other? Reese wants help finding his identical twin brother and doesn't trust officials at his school to tell him the truth. What exactly is the mission of The Selected, a group of boys chosen to live apart from the rest of the school population? Reese finds out his brother has been chosen to be part of this group, but Reese has a very bad feeling about this situation.
Tommy and Dani's romance continues to deepen and Tommy is ready for a permanent commitment. Will things ever settle down so he can get Dani alone to ask her this most important question? The prospects of this happening look grim indeed. Two of their small group are killed, Tommy's house is surrounded while dark by deadly creatures brought from Europe, and they soon learn their time of protection is up on Christmas Eve, which is when the bad guys plan for something big to happen. Quinn is working for the bad guys undercover, so he ferrets out vital information needed to advance the fight of good vs. evil. Cassandra goes undercover as well into the lair of the man in charge of the whole evil operation to see what she can find out.
This plot will hold readers hostage as they won't be able to put the book down until they're done. There is action, romance, friendships made, family reunited, evil encountered, and faith in God lived out in action and faith discovered by some. The characters for me are like old friends revisited in that we can meet and begin an adventure as if we were never parted. There is a fantastic battle toward the end of the book that is just awesome to read! Don't miss this book! I highly recommend all three books in this series. Kudos Lis and Pete!
