Love is in season as you journey into rural America’s history and witness the harvest of romance through six delightful stories. From Minnesota to Florida, New York to Kansas, and Ohio to Louisiana, heroic men and women make sacrifices in order to create a home, nurture the crops, and secure a future for the next generation, but sometime romance is almost an afterthought. Can love also grow down on the farm?
Kimberley gets her inspiration from all sorts of places: travel, history, dreams and once over hearing (okay...eavesdropping on) a conversation between a couple arguing in the grocery store line. She not only is the author of 13 Inspirational romance books, but also writes and produces church musicals. She has been married for 28 years to her best friend, Brian, and has one son, Tyler, and a brand new daughter-in-law, Kellie! Kimberley resides with her family near New Orleans.
Adoption has played a big part in Susan’s life. She and her minister-husband adopted three of their five children. While missionaries to Korea, the Downs’ family lovingly provided foster care for babies waiting to be adopted. Susan also performed many duties at the Korean social welfare agency that assisted their family with two of their three adoptions. As a licensed social worker, Susan served a number of years as the Eastern European adoption coordinator for a large adoption agency in Fort Worth, Texas. In this capacity, she helped many children find their Forever Families in homes across the United States. The adoption agency where Susan served got its start in 1887 by placing children from the orphan trains.
Currently, Susan resides in Texas and she is employed as a fiction editor for Guideposts Publications.

It's amazing that in the 'old' days people would meet, get married within days or weeks and they were good marriages that lasted. Today if someone gets married after a year people will tell you to wait until you know your 'intended' better. Also if more people would work at their marriages, be willing to forgive each other, discuss things instead of giving up there wouldn't be so many divorces. I liked each of these stories and would recommend this book to others. Wonderful stories of couples working together.

IreneUnited States4 Stars Out Of 5Variety of StoriesOctober 15, 2013IreneUnited StatesQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4This collection of stories is entertaining and well written. Because there are multiple stories it is a thick book! I liked the variety of authors as it gives you an idea of their individual writing styles. I am sure you will find one or more authors you like and will want to look up and read more of their books. These particular stories are historical Christian fiction. I gave this book 4/5 stars. I liked the stories but thought that some of them could have had more likable characters. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys historical fiction and I would definitely read it again!
I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.
