I have tried many DVD workouts; it's how I exercise at home. I generally don't enjoy Christian workouts because often are SO at the beginner level (sometimes despite promising more than they deliver). These workouts break that mold and deliver exercise activities that are challenging and hit the essential exercises that everyone needs - both cardio and strength.
The instruction is really good. She cues well, gives good form pointers, and is motivating. She is solidly Christian and is encouraging both on the fitness front and on the spiritual side. The music is really good and helps drive the workouts as well.
To do these workouts, you will need some weights and bands and maybe a mat. I exercise on carpet, so I don't bother with the mat.
When I finish these workouts I am spiritually, physically, and emotionally refreshed. Faithful Workouts completely glorifies and teaches the Lord Jesus. It is more of a bible study than I think a lot of people get. There are also a couple of ministry opportunities if by chance you have not found one that the Lord has given you a heart for yet. These DVDs are very good. Although fast-paced, they make me feel that I really worked out! I love the fact that they are put to Christian music and that the instructor is so encouraging. These dvds are NOT for beginners!
I love everything about these videos, but they are basically for a very advanced workout. The warm up is simular to my high impact workout. They have a girl who does a modified version, but it is just as fast paced as the rest. The music is great and I love the scripture and encouragement. I really like the excersizes and I enjoy doing them. I excersize regularly and this workout is more than I can accomplish at one time, but I will keep doing them because they are fun and inspiring. I just have to take a lower pace and not stay in sinc.
