Extremely elementary and lacking any scholarship. Although this book was written by an alleged doctorate, the contents prove otherwise. Written as if these were merely his sermon notes, the book lacks depth of exegetical or hermeneutical study and merely glosses over the deep theological themes of James. In addition, the author asserts many phrases foreign to Scripture, perhaps in view of making the text more "relevant" to its audience. The Christian would better benefit by simple lone study and allowing the sum of God's word to help interpret those texts within James that may be more arduous to comprehend.
