This book went on sale at the right time! Just when I had to face my giants; severe health issues. I now know my focus need not be on my health, but through it I am drawing nearer to God, He is showing me He is my strength, I am not facing this alone and I am at peace with whatever lies ahead.

It has been a very helpful book. Situations that we face in our lives are addressed with ways to handle them.

I ordered this book for myself last year. It has helped me to moved my focus away from my my "giant" at work. I just ordered one for my girlfriend whose husband had passed away.

I have a real affection for the writings of Max Lucado. This was the 8th book if his I have read and I have to say that it is may favorite right along with "When God Drew Near"...Written in Lucado's trademark warm and personable style, this book is full of clear biblical references to help anyone face their own Goliaths....
Highly recommended as a great read!!

I am really amazed at how Mr. Lucado profiled the life of King David so well. Yet the amazing thing is that I never realized that there were so many giants he, like myself, had to face. A great book!

Great insight into David's life and his strong faith in God. It is helpful to us to give us courage to face our Goliaths. It is also written in an easy to read format.
I have used parts of the book for a devotional that I needed to give.
