Break free of sexual struggles!
This book is more than a book about freedom, it is a book about finding who you really are in Christ and operating from the power that only comes from identifying with Christ. Most Christians struggle with various issues, and this book really helps a person identify what freedom in Christ is all about. We live often by the law rather than the Spirit, and we struggle to find wholeness. This book helps you restore mindsets that are Christ centered and rethink who you are. Even information taught as truths that we have been taught will be looked at to help understand why what we have done in the past hasn't worked to bring real freedom. No matter what you have tried, no matter how you have failed, there is an answer that will stick, and one that will give you hope as you work your way through this book. Relationship with the Lord is the root of your success, it always will be what directs you into the fullness of your real destiny. It also is what makes you whole and strong in the process of becoming all you can be in God. In Christ we look forward and not backward, we also acquire strengths and faith as we recognize and identify with who He is in us. Freedom is found in Christ, and we must identify and operate from the Christ in us, and flow out of that source of power that overcomes the world. This book will help you break free from guilt, and shame, and lift you into the real life of Christ that He intended you live. A real life of victory and freedom is available to you. You can leave behind all that caused you to stumble through life. You will finally be able to run the race and win! No longer seeing yourself with the wrong view, finally recognizing you are who God says you are, and you can live a life filled with worth and value. Each chapter is a building block to freedom, tears down old and wrong mindsets, and establishes you in the strength and power that God always intended you should operate from. So start reading now.

Highly recommended
The author, Jonathan Welton, shares of his personal struggles and weakness in dealing with sexual temptation. He writes that sin must be confronted in our lives but sin is not our identity. Our identity is not the sum of our actions. Identity is the foundation from which our actions flow. Identity always precedes actions. Our Identity is in Jesus Christ. When we lose our hold on our identity, we lose our grip on our authority. When we abide in Him, we are not fighting for victory in our lives, we are fighting from victory. We are full of grace because of Jesus Christ. We must come into agreement with who God says that we are, than our actions will change. We are the righteousness of God, therefore we live and act righteously. Because of Him, we can live a life of honor.

Refreshing, Radical, Restorative
âÂÂEyes of Honor: Training for Purity and Righteousnessâ is refreshing in its style, radical in its approach, and restorative in its message. Jonathan Welton addresses the issues of determining a correct understanding of our identity in Christ, the land mines to avoid â the Devil, the Law, temptation, and shame, if we want to live an overcoming life, and how we should perceive a womanâÂÂs value.
Jonathan uses practical down to earth life applications, lessons from his own experiences of brokenness and liberating Biblical truth to lead the reader to find answers in their quest to find lasting freedom and healing, and to establish true Christian core values. I especially appreciated his solid and sound Biblical teaching, using revelation, exegesis and example to present complex theological concepts with an easy to grasp clarity.
Each chapter includes tools, intended to help the reader put lessons from the chapter into practical use and implementation. His underlying purpose is to equip Christian men for leadership by taking control of your life, identify the root problem, affirm your identity, walk in purity, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.
Although Jonathan is uncompromising and nonjudgmental in his stance he introduces materials that may sound radical to readers steeped cultural views of womanhood , current counseling behavioral modification, twelve step programs and the church emphasis on having an accountability partner.
âÂÂEyes of Honorâ delivers a powerful message of hope, deliverance from the bondage of sin of lust, empowerment to supernatural living, and training Christian men for leadership and ministry.âÂÂ

A great book for Christian men
Eyes of Honor is a book that tackles the whole problem of sexual temptation and lust in a positive manner, this is no easy 12 steps to recovery but rather a radical biblical response to a problem that many men face. At the end of each chapter there is a section titled âÂÂtoolâ to get the full benefit from this book and to apply to your own life, please donâÂÂt skip this because it will really help you.
The author starts out by sharing his own story and this is very illuminating as it assures the reader that the author has tried all the formulas on offer and found them wanting. Many men will be able to identify with the struggles that Jonathan Welton recounts. He demonstrates the weakness of many of the formulas given within the church, the greatest problem he and a multitude of men face is being categorised as a sex addict. the problem with this is that it tends to make men perceive themselves as beyond help doomed to struggle. they see themselves as addicts and this distorts their sense of identity.
Section one of the book deals with a Christian manâÂÂs identity in Christ, the author here shows that rather than being victims Christians have a new vision of themselves in Christ. The chapters in this section are powerful tools for regaining the vision of who we are in Christ, the chapter heading say it all, âÂÂYou are Powerfulâ You are Valuableâ You are not your actionsâ âÂÂYou are crucified in Christâ and âÂÂYou are a new creationâÂÂ. These chapters spell out the riches we have in Christ, the emphasis is on what the Bible teaches and there are some good passages which apply the scriptures to the subject of our identity in Christ. In chapter 5 we also have a very helpful refutation of the gnostic teaching that has affected much Christian teaching on sanctification. This section deals with this problem in a profound but simple way. in chapter 6 we are reminded that we are a new creation in Christ, this positive teaching is a great aid to those struggling with temptation because it focuses one attention on what Christ has made us instead of centering on the problem.
Section two of the book is titled âÂÂWho is the Enemy?â in this section we are shown that the devil is a defeated foe, we donâÂÂt have to fear him but we do need to be aware of his tactics so that we can live in victory. The chapter on the law examines the true function of the law and helps one to see the pattern of biblical teaching. this is followed by an excellent chapter on temptation and the way God has provided a way of escape. The chapter on shame, this chapter helps us to see that in Christ we are forgiven and that there is no longer any need to feel shame, there is a very helpful section that shows the difference between GodâÂÂs convicting us of sin, righteousness and judgement and shame that comes from our feelings about ourselves. Conviction leads to repentance and receiving GodâÂÂs forgiveness which has already been paid for on the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Section three is titled âÂÂWho is she?â here we are confronted with the biblical teaching about who women are and how we are to perceive them, the chapter heading are âÂÂShe is your sisterâ âÂÂShe is worth protectingâ and âÂÂShe needs loveâÂÂ, the teaching here shows how we need to treat all women with dignity, some of the examples given in this chapter show how God can work in the lives of women caught up in the sex industry when men treat them with love, compassion and honor.
This book is strongly recommended to all men, the authorâÂÂs teaching on our identity in christ needs to be read by more than people with this particular struggle. This teaching is a major tool for the renewal of our minds and behaviour. My prayer is that many men will be encouraged and blessed in reading this book and that a result many women may feel cherished, honored and loved.
