Loved this! I did it this year, and nearly finished.... Im amazed at how much information is in there and how much I now know, there was some really interesting worthwile thing. The best thing about it is that it's all based on the bible, so i dont have to lie in tests like myfriends at school would about evolution, because i agree and love the creation based information. Highly recommended! I look forward to the next one.

Excellent book! I used it in 7th grade last year. There aren't many questions on the tests (10-18 on each one) but other than that, and the overwhelming first chapter, (with so many people and dates to remember),
it was wonderful. Very conversational, with lots of hands on, fun experiments, of which few had ingredients that I did not readily have. Get this book!!

My son used the 1st edition of this book for 6th grade. Excellent! Do not let the first chapter scare you off--it was overwhelming with all the scientists names and accomplishments, but beyond that the book is simply excellent. All but ONE experiment worked out, and we were able to find all materials fairly easily, even in our somewhat remote area. The book is conversationally written, and interestingly, so that a huge amount was retained. The geology chapters are fairly and ocnvincingly written, too. We can't wait for 7th grade and "Physical Science"!

This was a wonderful science book for my son. He learned a lot. It was presented well. My family will use Apologia for all our science.
