Mom & Teach5 Stars Out Of 5Great Info.February 17, 2015Mom & TeachMy daughter is very glad that we purchased the textbook. I tried using the online CD course for the first half of the year with her. She kept falling further and further behind. We discovered she is not one to read the all of the course materials on the computer and comprehend the information. The textbook, for her, works much better. I will say though, the computer course has a lot of additional information links and visuals.
Excellent curriculum5 Stars Out Of 5Great price/qualityDecember 19, 2014Excellent curriculumThis is excellent for teaching the scientific method from a Biblical Worldview. My 12 year old son has been able to work independently and the labs reinforce the material covered in a fun educational way. Excellent material for a great price!

smile4 Stars Out Of 5good program - must get the student notebookOctober 11, 2013smileQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Overall, this is a good science program - I highly recommend getting the student notebook - it contains all the lab report write ups, a daily schedule (so you know how to plan out all the sections/modules for the year).
I did not buy the student notebook initially, and then bought it 2 weeks later - it is really a must for making this science curriculum work well.
JJC23Age: 25-34Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5Harder then expectedSeptember 26, 2013JJC23Age: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 3It's a little hard I would say for anyone under about 6th grade! It came up in material for 2nd grade, and while I like my child to be challenged, this is a bit much! The material is good, but really difficult, and not at all what I was expecting.
Q: Can this curriculum be done independently by a 7th grader?
Yes, this curriculum is designed to be largely self taught. They will likely require a little help and guidance when it comes to their labs, but other than that they should be fine. We offer an optional student notebook that helps them pace the work and provides them a single place to record all of their work.
