If you have jr. or senior high students, you are probably one busy parent! No time to create this one on your own, and you'll need this to get the most out of your class! This will have your child defining words, filling out questions, etc. Plus there are separate sections for their lessons reviews (for tests) and lab-write ups. (And each section has a different color margin so that you can find them very easily in this fat notebook (Great idea!). VERY handy to have these sections! In the beginning of the notebook is a section of lesson plans. (Telling the student exactly what to read each day and what pages to do in the notebook.) They are labeled by weeks and have 5 days in each, but they also have little squares in the corners so the student can check off the completed assignments so not to get confused if they have off a day and their "Day 5" is actually on a Monday instead of Friday. The elementary notebooks for Apologia never seemed to work for us, but this one is becoming a HUGE time saver! I'd definitely buy this one again!
I love the notebooks, we have used them with the elementary Apologia books and with General Science. This year we used the ones for Physical Science. I think it makes life so much easier to have everything in one place. (Is it just us, or when you want to go over the chapter review questions your student they "can't find them," because they used a sheet of notebook paper instead of a notebook?!) The lesson questions called "On Your Own," the end of chapter reviews, the fill in the blank summaries, the labs, places for notes, etc. It is a time saver for the student. This course (any of the Apologia high school level) is challenging, and can take a good chunk out of the day, I find the extra expense of these notebooks are worth it. I'm excited they came out with one for Biology, and am hoping they will have a Chemistry one next!
