Give your junior high students a fun and helpful way to build study skills while reinforcing their lessons from Apologia's Exploring Creation with Physical Science, 2nd Edition textbook. The colorful pages integrate photos, graphics, diagrams, while trendy fonts provide a fresh, up-to-date feel. The module numbers and associated textbook page numbers referenced at the top of assignments will keep everyone on track.
This student notebook journal includes 16 modules that correspond to the 16 modules in the text. Interactive elements include graphic organizers; "On Your Own" questions (with room to answer them); study guide questions; "Digging Deeper" exercises that provide hands-on or web-based activities; and summary questions, creating a convenient notebook to study and prepare for tests. Lab report forms for each experiment in the textbook's module are also provided. The back of the book includes fill-in-the-blank module summaries; these are optional, and provide extra practice for students who are having difficulty studying for the module tests.
A complete daily schedule breaks down the text, notebook pages, and tests into weekly and daily blocks; following the schedule will enable students to finish the course in 34 weeks, working at approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour per day. 413 pages, softcover, spiralbound.

Angela5 Stars Out Of 5August 22, 2014AngelaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5read reviews by "lambywool" and"vicky", they are on target. Worth the cost, and lets both student and teacher/parent focus on the science material itself.
lambywool5 Stars Out Of 5Apologia Physical Science NotebookAugust 5, 2014lambywoolQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5I love the notebooks, we have used them with the elementary Apologia books and with General Science. This year we used the ones for Physical Science. I think it makes life so much easier to have everything in one place. (Is it just us, or when you want to go over the chapter review questions your student they "can't find them," because they used a sheet of notebook paper instead of a notebook?!) The lesson questions called "On Your Own," the end of chapter reviews, the fill in the blank summaries, the labs, places for notes, etc. It is a time saver for the student. This course (any of the Apologia high school level) is challenging, and can take a good chunk out of the day, I find the extra expense of these notebooks are worth it. I'm excited they came out with one for Biology, and am hoping they will have a Chemistry one next!

MDVAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Helpful but not necessaryDecember 7, 2013MDVAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 3Meets Expectations: 4This book is helpful as it has lessons completely mapped out and some additional review questions. However, much of it could just be done in a regular notebook. For example, the review at the end of each chapter is repeated with space for the student to write answers. Also, a large portion in the back is simply experiment sheets for student's to write their findings. Also, all the student questions given throughout the text book are repeated in the student notebook with space for the student to answer. If you want it all laid out for your student to work independently and want some reinforcements of concepts, then this is for you. But, it is definitely not needed.
Q: Can this be used with the 1st edition textbook?
No, editions have to match. So this would go with the second edition textbook.
Q: Is there a description of this product? What does this product consist of? Does it have Lab Reports? On Your Own Questions? How is it different from the Lapbook Journal? I like to know what I am buying but there is no description of what this product actually consist of...
This spiralbound notebooking journal includes space for personal notes, thought-provoking exercises, lab report templates, "On Your Own" questions, plus "Digging Deeper" and "What
Does God's Word Say?" sections. The Lapbooks are more hands-on and focused on creating a visual display of the student's work.
