This helps the student to process the well-written, conversational text. The reader has a very pleasant voice. This tool saves me time and helps the student to work efficiently and independently.

My student works better with another person. When I can't be there to go over the information with my student, I let him listen to the audio while he reads along. This puts the student in command of the work, gives him the responsibility of completing it, and provides a way for him to keep working on a task until he finishes it. If there are several children in the homeschooling environment, the recording could be used in another room while the teacher works with other children.

We have used Ecploring Creation curriculum for several children and courses and really like it. This year my student is dyslexic so I bought the CD. It is a great tool. He is studying on his own! I would suggest this for anyone with reading difficulties. Makes my job of schooling 6 different grade levels a little easier. We'll see in a few years how it works for the dyslexic ADHD kid.

a good resource if an auditory learner - has helped but has been somewhat tricky to navigate sometimes for a teen still learning technology

This audio helps my son stay on track when reading the textbook. He retains information better because he is using two senses (sight and hearing) rather than just one.
