Product DescriptionIntroduce your young naturalists to plants---their structure, propagation, classification, and more---with this engaging yearlong classical science curriculum. Influenced by Charlotte Mason and the living books philosophy, homeschooling mother Jeannie Fulbright writes as if she were chatting with her own children, defining and explaining at their comprehension level. Designed to be used with both readers and non-readers, each clearly organized lesson features content-rich narration; notebooking; and hands-on activities and projects using easy-to-find household items. Dissect seeds, force bulbs, make leaf skeletons---and take a close-up look at God's flora kingdom. Grades K to 6. 176 pages, hardcover.

I homeschool mixed grades and find their materials all very versatile and multi-level. The activities are always awesome as well and we love thee Christian values. You never have to worry with Apologia! Reviewed by Dianna Auton (Fountain Inn, SC), February 26, 2010LOVE this. We have found this to be one of our favorite science curriculum that we have ever used. I recommend to anyone to use the Apologia curriculum for a in depth study of science subjects. You will love it. Reviewed by RH (Bluffton, SC), November 30, 2009I HIGHLY recommend this for your science studies! I find this product easy to use yet an excellent detailed way to experience science! Reviewed by Roxann Galster (Lowell, MA), September 16, 2009After several years of using science texts with brief discussions of many topics, this delightful in-depth study of one topic has been a refreshing change. Easy to use for multiple grade levels concurrently. Reviewed by Amy Eilers (Sylva, NC), September 15, 2009We have every book in this series and love them all. They are interesting to read and full of information. The experiments are easily done with materials from home and that is very important for us. They don't require a lot of prep work or fancy equipment. The concepts are simple and easy to understand, yet complex enough that everyone learns something new. These are great books to use for schooling different grade levels at the same time. Reviewed by Melissa Davis (Newport, RI), August 28, 2009Not that I am one to judge a book by its cover, but this book is beautiful on the outside just as much as it is on the inside. We have had a lot of fun with this book, we have only completed lesson 1 though. A lot of material, but there is ample opprotunity to review throughout the lesson. My son is seven years old and I would definitely recommend the book to anyone, but along with that recommendation I would say to be prepared to work alongside your child. The notebook is a super addition. Reviewed by Kimberly Smith (Jacksonville, NC), August 26, 2009This book is amazing! Vivid pictures, easy presentation, great experiments and the best thing is that it is designed for multiple-aged children! I homeschool our Kindgergartener and 2nd grader and this is a great book to do science from! They can learn together! Thank you! Reviewed by Chris Jordan (Duluth, GA), August 19, 2009Detailed, educational, yet very accessible for students. Great work! I highly recommend the entire series!
