We have used this product for several years in our homeschooling, and I have found the entire line of Explode the Code to be easy to use and very effective, with just the right amount of challenge at each level. Fun, without being distracting. Teaches each sound clearly and completely, but uses light humor and keeps their attention through each lesson.

This series really was a springboard to my child's reading. The repetition is helpful and there is a sense of accomplishment at each section. It is excellent for independent work.

My six year old son really enjoys these worksheets. The drawings are simple and he really gets a laugh from some of the silly sentences that appear every few pages. He finishes each page fairly quickly, so he also feels a good sense of accomplishment, while he has enjoyed doing the work. I find the books a good supplement to his other cirriculum.
