it takes the KJV and openens it to even more understanding of what's being said! its as if you've taken the Hebrew Greek Keyword bible mixed it with the Amplified bible and produce this stunning product!

Pros: Good translation for those who want to understand the literal (English) translation over the KJV (Greek/Hebrew).

Cons: The pages are very thin, therefore text on opposite side of the page can be seen, can be hard on vision.

Besides that I am very pleased with.

This is perhaps, not a best Bible for reading only from it?

However, as a researching person and trying to understand the many nuances of the Bible's word. It is very useful to me. (*) Keep it in mind, I prefer to read a study Bible or NLT version text. Then, when I find unclear verses. Or have questions about a basic fact, or what was being said here?

= It is a great value, for such a low price. If you are researching & value extra opinions. (I have several Study Bibles. The Illustrated NLT, the Zondervan (new) Study Bible [avoid the Personal size [[too small]] ], the HCSB Apologetics Bible, Wayfinding Bible, and a more.)

The only reason not 5 stars, is because. This is priceless as a Bible aide, more than by itself.

What are some good examples? (a) Where are the two rivers in the Garden of Eden? Havilah & Gihon? [Are they renamed to other rivers of today?]

    (b) My apologies, if this makes you uncomfortable. But, in my small opinion. Reading the Bible is an immensely complex task. You have to remember (or we all know), Genesis is 2000 years before Christ, and Christ is 2100 years before us. Language is a very complicated subject.

So, I value, having different translations, and reading articles from Christian theologians about the Bible, the Scripture, and clarifying the (obviously) very complex literal issues. Translating ancient Hebrew, to modern English, after having gone through: Roman times, Hellenistic times, and the times of writing.

Yes, it is best to follow your Pastors advice. However, I enjoy a Bible like this for this very reason. (*) Study bibles don't always detail "what is this precise literal element" here? (*) Again, I suppose I am just mindlessly rambling.

However, I do like to see how all the facts connect up. How anyone could be an agnostic is so beyond me? The Bible is such a written over many hundreds of years, 100s of items connect so precisely, and the notion. Notion that a Deity doesn't exist in our Universe? Just mindless-ness. (and it is sad. They have decided to turn away from God and not toward.)

I love the expanded bible... easy on the eyes, and understandable. I was very disappointed in the quality of the binding. It is like a cardboard binding covered in black - not good quality in my opinion.
