Difficult to use. The emphasis is on scholarly. May pick it up in the future but otherwise it will sit on my shelf.

I had read this book and found it to be very good and so I bought it for my own collection and with someone in mind to convince them that Jesus is God.

I lost my first copy of this book that I think I purchased in the 1970s. I've been burdened lately to be prepared to better defend my faith. So much confusion out there with movies and books like the De Vinci Code. So much junk and people are accepting it as plausible. This is a good resource for examining the evidence. I also recommend C. S. Lewis's book Surprised by Joy.

I was already familiar with the book, I got it for a friend that is agnostic (more realistically in denial). The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is I really didn't like the updating of the book. Josh has obviously evolved in his beliefs and knowledge of Christiandom in 35 years. I would prefer that someone that is in the same state as he was when the book was written, be able to better identify with it in its original state. (Hope that's not too confusing). Overall, a great book though. I wise addition to anyones library.
