This reissue of Dr. Barth's American lectures is a quality package. The fidelity and clarity of the sound is remarkable. Dr. Barth's warm personality and humor is pleasant to experience - he speaks and lectures in English very deftly. The five lecture discs are lectures on the material in the first five chapters of Introduction to Evangelical Theology. Two discs contain Dr. Barth's answers to questions asked by a panel of American theological experts. There are photographs and other supplemental material on the data disc, including complete images of Markus Barth's commentary booklet that was included with the original LP set in 1963. The 8 CD set is nicely cased, and the varied label art makes it easy to distinguish between discs. This well-presented record of Dr. Karl Barth's historic personal appearance in America will please any of his fans. August 6, 2009
