I love verse-by-verse Bibles. I find them easier to read for some reason. Plus, I find it easier to locate passages that I want to refer back upon. The quality of this Bible is top-notch. The pages are really sturdy with very little bleed through with a yellow highlighter. This isn't a study bible, so there aren't any commentator notes, but out of all the Bibles I own, this is the one I read daily. Sometimes, it's just nice to lose yourself in the Word without being distracted by copious notes. The wonderful ESV translation coupled with the verse referencing system employed by the ESV can make for some highly productive and enjoyable private Bible studies.
I love the verse-by-verse design. All the verses begin at the left margin, not in the middle of a line. Also, this Bible is single column instead of two. It is very easy to read and keep your place. The price cannot be beat!
This Bible is printed in Italy by Lego, the same publisher that printed the Legacy ESV Bible. Pros are the great quality paper and text line matching; Cons are the very, very tough leather (tougher than the usual China-printed ESV Genuine leather Bibles, and surprisingly even tougher than the genuine leather Lego used for the Legacy ESV Bible. It behaves as a hardcover pretty much. When I tried to massage it and bend it a bit, the inner paper that is glued to the leather started to came off :( I recommend a faux leather version, not the genuine.
This Bible is awesome. Easy to read from while preaching and prepping. It is not too bigger either given that it is a verse by verse bible (still bigger/thicker than others in this size range). Good quality. Lots of space to write in the margins.
Overall, this is a wonderful Bible. the margins have enough space to write notes in, the line by line makes it easy to ready & the font size is easy for me to read. It has helpful maps in the back & the concordance is good. The cover is softer & a little more flexible than my old Bible, but it doesn't affect the quality. The cover is a soft leather (or leather-like material) that is holding up great. I have traveled with it, jammed it in a backpack several times, & my kids haven't been too easy with it either. As I said it is holding up great! The only downfall is it doesn't contain Christ word's in red. I solved this problem by underlining them with a red pen. Overall, I made the right choice and I love this Bible!
