I really like the ESV translation and I would certainly recommend it. However, I would hesitate to recommend a Bible published by Crossway on account of the poor quality in their craftsmanship. This Bible is good and looks smart but is cheaply made, and you've probably already guess it, 'you get what you pay for.' $20 does seem reasonable but expect to be purchasing another Bible in the near future; both my wife and I had Bibles, like this one, and both began to fall apart within the same year. We didn't abuse them; they just didn't stand up for everyday use. It's unfortunate that Crossways doesn't do a better job of making these; I've had other hardcover Bibles published by Crossways and they fall apart too and the bindings always split. This is a disposable Bible.
This is my husbands favorite Bible, and he has many!! It is the one he uses when we have devotions. He is a Pastor and very picky, but this one appeals to him in many ways. The price is great, because I called another book store group and she told me they sell it for 29.99. She said herself it was a great price. Now my grandson wants one, so I'm hoping to get him one for Easter or soon.
These bibles are top notch! The style of them, the feel of them, and the read of them. They are just wonderful in every way. I have a ministry that buys bibles and provides them to people, these are the only bibles I use in this ministry. I chose them because I believe when someone receives a bible that doesn't appeal to their eyes they simple WILL NOT use it. These bibles are beautiful to look at, to hold, and to read. I've given many bibles in my life, but these are the only ones I see people have a really positive response to, it's like they just received something of value! And they did!! They are pricy to give out in ministry yes, but I'd rather give 3 bibles that get used, than 20 that won't.
