This is a suburb study bible, at least to the extent that I have read it; I am only 5% of the way through. With one exception thus far: I am disappointed in the handling of young earth versus old earth, without their addressing anywhere that I have seen in the commentary, the accepted interpretation of the Hebrew word for "one day" or "24 hours". To their credit there is no equivocating on God as the creator and designer. They just leave an opening for the unacceptable gap theory, or what has "evolutionized" into the day-age theory.
I bought two of these as gifts because it is the best study Bible I own. Full of excellent scholarship not only in the notes, but the maps and charts as well. I believe it to be a must have for any one who wants to dig deep in the Word.
I love this book! It is jam-packed full of interesting information on concurrent history of old testament times, intros to every book, easy to read, wonderful commentary, beautiful looking, soft to the touch, love everything about it!
