Simply Amazing, Stunning, And Beautiful! I want to start off by addressing the experience of receiving and unpacking this Bible: Upon receiving my package from UPS, I was first struck my the weight of it. I knew just from that first holding that I was in possession of something special. There was exceptional care in the packing of this Bible. Inside the shipping box was another box with padding. Inside that box was the Bible box wrapped and taped in packing paper. After I removed the packing paper, a beautiful Bible box appeared that was shrink-wrapped! The Box that contained the Bible is extremely beautiful while at the same time being understated. It is so thick that one does not have to worry about it breaking. It seems to be made from wood that is wrapped with book cloth! The top of the box is light grey and has the ESV logo in the center. Once I opened the box and got my first sight of the Bible, I was speechless.... Upon opening the cover, I noticed that it also was heavy. This is not your normal hardcover board; this stuff feels like a type of heavy wood. The boards themselves are a work of art! The edges are squared and have a 3D quality about them. After opening the cover I noticed a sheet of paper from Crossway in which they detail the level of care taken in producing this fine Bible. The text block is sewn There are four 1/2 inch ribbons that are both thick and long The gold gilt is top notch.... This is not the spray-on stuff. The paper is SUPER white and SUPER opaque! No ghosting at all! Font is very readable as expected with dark and bold 14.5 font The Bonded Leather cover is really handsome I have searched far for the perfect preaching ESV Bible; and I am happy to say that the search is over! This is great for Church Service readers. We have used a large print regular sized bible and the print wasn't large enough for standing readers. The palpuit size bible is wonderful; much more easy to read for both the young and old readers. It is should have type of bible if you have your readers read from the bible instead of a print out of the weekly readings,. January 2, 2011

Our church recently purchased an ESV Pulpit Bible. We are very pleased with it. The ESV contains a traditional rendering of the Scripture that is very easy to understand. The Pulpit Bible is well made, easy to read, and is a wonderful value for the money. Considering some KJV pulpit Bibles sell for $400 or more, the ESV was very affordable for our small congregation. We would very much recommend it to any church desiring a pulpit Bible! October 21, 2009
