Well i clearly should have read the reviews before purchasing. The bible itself, although lovely is WAY to small, and i could not begin to even imagine trying to read/study something with a font that tiny. Very sad to send it back. I will just order a leather cover for my trusty old bible that has served me so well.
I really like the margins inside for writing notes, and the look of the leather cover with the flap. However, having a 3-foot long leather string wrapping around the bible is not practical. When I am at a bible study with the bible open, I have 3 feet of leather string hanging down to my feet. I feel it may be rather bothersome & time consuming to get it properly fastened when I close it back up. It may even create a tripping hazard. A button with a leather loop would have been a much better solution in my opinion.
i know the size of the bible was in the description, but once received it is way too small for journaling the way I want to. Off I go to search for another bible, larger to journal in. i will keep and use this bible, but i want to create larger drawings. its a shame the costs for larger ones are jacked up to insane prices.
The only draw back I see with the ESV Journaling Bible is the font size. Just a little small. However for me keeping the message outlines on the side is a great help. I really love it and recommend it to all who enjoy adding their notes to the margin of God's Word.
