I have been using this Bible with disappointment. I read that one review that said she was bothered by the shadow of print from the other page but it was okay. I don't think it's okay. I hate it. Why is it printed on tissue paper? Who ever decided that all Bibles need to be printed on this stuff? The shadow is there. The shadow is distracting. I had thought to try it out and give it to my 90 year old mother if I liked it, but I cannot do that. I'm sure she will not like it. I am willing to pay extra. I am willing for it to be a little heavier. Please print it on paper that eliminates the shadow.
I am very satisfied with the layout of this Bible. I am a pastor who was looking for an ESV preaching Bible that would lay comfortably upon my modern style metal pulpit, also be easy to pick up the words and phrases I want to highlight at a glance with my bifocal glasses, and be easy for turning to cross references. This Bible meets all three criteria. It is larger than any preaching Bible I have ever used, but it has worked so well the added size is not an encumbrance. I am very satisfied.
This is one of the few Bibles that I have purchased recently that uses quality paper and a nice dark ink so everything is very legible. This Bible is very easy to read and I really like the double column layout which is getting harder to find. My only negative comment would be the TruTone cover is very smooth which makes it a little harder to hold the Bible or keep a grip on it while reading.
