This Bible is beautiful. The Celtic Cross design is stunning! I love the fact that, because this Bible is so compact, I can take it with me wherever I go. This was my first time buying an ESV Bible, the translation is very easy to read and understand. I highly recommend this Bible to you!

Beautiful compact Bible. Great reference guide and I love the red lettering indicating the words of Christ. Thin pages are hard to navigate at times but well worth it once you have broken it in. Great translation as well.

The Translation is excellent! But the problem comes in when trying to read point 6.2 font. I can read it but it is almost impossible to read the footnotes. They must be point 3 font or something. I am go to get the bigger one ( ISBN: 1581347650 ). I gave it a 3.0 because of small font but everything else is great.

This is a fabulous translation. It retains the reverence and word-for-accuracy I prefer but is easily understood. This particular Bible is just right for my purse.

I love this translation and edition! when i first got it the words seemed real small but after a few days i got used to it because of it i under stand the bible a lot more because of its clear translation. 5 stars!

I rate this product 5.0 for the translation and 4.0 for this particular edition. I love the English Standard Version. It has become my translation of choice. Why? Because it is more literal than the NIV and more readable than the NASB. It communicates well to people who are unchurched or unfamiliar with the Bible. I appreciate Christianbook.com for including the point size of this edition in its description. It would be helpful if they were to include the point size of every Bible when they write or update its listing. My only problem with the description of the ESV Compact Thinline Bible, Bonded Leather, Blue is the inclusion of the phrase "readable 6.2-point type". In my opinion as the owner of 50 editions of the Bible, there is no such thing as readable 6.2-point type. For me the minimum acceptable (readable) size is 8-point type.
