If you can handle the small print, this is a nice looking value-priced Bible. Great to throw into a briefcase or stick in your back pocket.

I have been looking for a good outreach Bible I can buy in bulk to hand out to neighbors and strangers. This is the Bible I have been looking for. It is small enough to carry a bunch of them in a backpack or fit one in a pocket (about 1 1/2 inches taller, an inch wider, and almost twice as thick as a Gideon New Testament), and it comes at a good price for its quality.

This Bible does not have a lot of frills - no concordance, no maps, no ribbon marker, no red-lettering - so it would not make a good study Bible. It would make a fine travel Bible, but it is really designed for evangelism, getting the reader excited about reading the Bible, helping them rapidly understand the themes of the Bible, and clearly presenting the Gospel.

Immediately following the table of contents, it has a page entitled, "Why Read the Bible", which introduces the Bible as God's inspired word. Then it has a recommended forty-day reading plan of ~50-55 chapters, which makes getting to know the Bible a less daunting task for new readers. The passages chosen are a good balance of OT historical context, a little prophecy, the life of Jesus, doctrine (especially related to salvation), and exhortations to live like Christ. Right after reading the last passage (Rev 21-22), the reader sees the next section entitled, "God's Plan to Save You". In 4 pages (dense with scriptural support), it clearly and concisely describes the problem of sin, God's plan of redemption through Jesus Christ, why and how we need to be saved, and how to grow and find assurance in Christ.

I highly recommend this Bible to people who have a burden to share God's word with lost souls.
