It's a nice looking Bible with plenty of room for taking notes or journaling. My only complaint is that the font is too small for my aging eyes. The small font would also make it difficult to mark up the text without obscuring it.
While I love the Bible itself, the cover was a disappoinment. this was a much darker leather than shown and the strap doesn't match either the color or the texture of the cover. The leather itself is scuffed and scratched already. I've been desperately wanting a Bible for art journaling, so I kept it, but am kinda wishing I had returned it. It looks more like the cheaper leather Bible sold instead of the one pictured. If you are buying this for the cover ... don't. I do like the pages and size of margins. Page color is nice.
Bible was everything I hoped. It is well made, strong cover, good pages that hold the ink from my notes well, I especially enjoy that it has a hard cover which makes writing my notes in easier. This is my devotional/"quiet time" bible, not used as my primary bible so not sure how it would stand up to the wear and tear of being taken around in a bag etc everyday.
I received this bible about 2 weeks ago for my birthday. It was a slightly imperfect version, but other than three tiny scratch marks on the cover, the Bible was in a perfect state. Since it is natural leather anyway, the small marks are really not very visible anyway. I love the design, although the colour is quite a bit darker than the photo suggests (it is somewhere in-between the picture of the single column and the standard version of this journaling bible). The paper is a bit thicker than normal bible paper, which is helpful when writing notes. The bible itself does not come with a lot of extra's. There are some translational notes on the bottom of the page, and there are section headings, but other than that its up to you to make you own study bible out of this. In this Bible I use a colour code system and symbols to do most of my note-taking, and then add small notes, or add cross-references.
I have never had a single column bible before, and although the double column has never bothered me with reading, taking notes was always a bit tedious, as you try to make a specific note for a specific verse, but only have the outside margins to really work with. A single column bible completely solves that problem :-)
All and all, I can really recommend this Bible. If you don't want to spend 90 dollars on a Bible, there are also cheaper versions out there. they may be a bit less gorgeous than this leather edition, but I am sure they will be just as handy.
Oh and one final commend: my bible did come engraved with my name. I know that it says right now that this bible cannot be engraved, but when I ordered it, it was still an option. I am very happy with that, as it makes it feel just a bit more special to me :-)
