This is an excellent journaling Bible. I've had it for several months now and loving it. I especially like the single column. The pages are a bit off-white and the margins do have faint note lines. I thot the lines would bother me, but most of the time I am totally unaware that they are even there; sometimes they have come in handy when placing words or judging size. The words are a decent font, but certainly not large. (I can't wait for someone to come out with one like this in giant print!!) I would buy this Bible again in a heartbeat. In fact, I might, as I'd like to do more than one Bible to leave for my children while I'm in Heaven.
I loved the old world look of it and knew my daughter would too. However, the print is so small she is not able to read it easily. So it is being returned. I wish there were examples of what the font size actually is when an item is being ordered. I was very excited for her to try a new way/place to illustrate scripture. So now I am looking for a larger font Bible.
What a joy to own this journaling Bible! I only wish I had purchased one a lot sooner than I did! I love the size of it as well as the cover art work. The margins for writing in are a good size. It is such a great way to write down significant verses that you don't want to forget and makes finding these verses much easier too. It is a good Bible for new Christians as well as older ones.
Not only was I once again floored by what I got for purchasing a "slightly imperfect" CBD item, I thought I would give a review for those who see CBD's slightly imperfect items and consider purchasing. It clearly is an example of their own extremely high quality control on their items. Flaws? A slight residue on leather, perhaps due to the natural leather treatment...I wiped that off. Two pages had a bent corner--I flatten them back. Some back pages I had to pry apart...easily. I am one happy camper!!!!!!! I can't see any other issues with this beauty. And oh, I am so excited to have this gorgeous Bible. It is creme colored paper. The flap appears to be quite accommodating for laying expanded out if the need for a lot of stuff goes inside. I am new to Bible journaling, so I don't know how much my pages will expand. This is kind of a Bible that looks like the kind of books one might see in movies...the strap, the raw leather, etc. Also, this Bible is the 2011 update...which I appreciate all the more. I just got this in, and although I want to make it devotional with artistry as well, I can't help but know that I probably will be using this to add my own notes from studying Greek and Hebrew definitions, etc. It might end up being the Bible where I have most of my notes. Oh, to my amazement, I find these journaling Bibles quite readable with my CBD sheet magnifiers. I love them, and I constantly add another four piece magnifier set to my order when I can. I love reading this format with a magnifier sheet. So wonderful. God bless you all in Jesus' Name.
