Dwayne Douglas4 Stars Out Of 5January 20, 2010Dwayne DouglasStumbled on this by accident really, not sure how I missed her cause I try to keep up. Good stuff, like the one reviewer says her voice is an acquired taste but musically the album is awesome and her voice fits it. Peter W. your review is lacking in specifics on why the music doesn't glorify Christ. I'm curious is you ready the profile that the Artist herself wrote. You also state that you have been reviewing music for 12 years. You certainly seem qualified, I'd like to read some of your other reviews. Where have they published?
JessicaAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5September 27, 2009JessicaAge: 25-34Gender: femaleTo rebut a previous review by another user on this page, Eowyn is indeed a Christian artist. You only have to listen to her lyrics to know that. Giving one example, her song "To My Surprise" contains the lyrics "you heard my cry, Lord Jesus rescue me." Her live shows are filled with her proclaiming the glory of Jesus. Hard rock does not automatically mean devil music, which seems to be the conclusion that was jumped to. Now, as for her music: I love it. Her voice is unique and suits the genre. It can be uplifting or heartbreaking. This album is full of wonderful songs that believers can listen to, but I also think it could reach out to the lost or mislead.
Dalton3 Stars Out Of 5September 20, 2009DaltonI was curious about this record, hoping to stumble across a band that might possibly live up to Evanescence (no longer a Christian band) or Flyleaf. Eowyn doesn't quite hold the charm of either, mostly due to the fact that Eowyn's voice is definitely an acquired taste, and it will be a deal-breaker for some. Eowyn's music has great instrumentation though, blending heavy electronics with hard rock and gothic undertones. Some of the highlights include To My Suprise (feat. Pillar's lead singer), To My Suprise, the touching Unfinished Memories, and Crashing. I wasn't blown away, but for fans of female-fronted rock bans like Flyleaf or Fireflight, I'd recommend this record. (Just listen to some samples first; as I said, her voice may not be to everyone's taste.)
Peter White (Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ)1 Stars Out Of 5April 8, 2009Peter White (Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ)Anyone who rated this album with any rating above ZERO is seriously in trouble in God's perspective when it comes to knowing what music is Christian or not. I have been reviewing Christian music for 12 years. This music (more like noise) is horrible and clearly has roots in a place that couldn't be further from heaven's gates. A horrible record. Definitely NOT Christian. Where is the glorification of Christ in this record??...seriously...where?
Heather5 Stars Out Of 5May 23, 2008HeatherSeriously! Amazing cd... amazing girl... and amazing message! I'm more into the hardcore stuff, but Eowyn looked interesting from the first time I say her merch. Saw her live... and was hooked. Bought this cd... AND LOVE IT! She has an amazing voice! Can be calm or even harsh. Beautiful lyrics and love the music. But most of all, she has an amazing heart! Definately would reccomend this cd as I have done with everyone I have met!

Tell us a little about yourself. I'm from Nashville, TN. I've been a singer for most of my life, but just recently stepped out to do ministry full time with my husband. We both quit our full time jobs and are currently traveling with my 4 band members around the country! I absolutely love it! It's scary sometimes, not knowing how you will survive from one day to the next, but then I have to remind myself it's all in God's hands anyways.
What was your motivation behind this project? My motivation for "Silent Screams" was to encourage those who are ensnared by depression, anger, loneliness or insecurities to cry out for help from Jesus Christ and from others. It breaks my heart to see people hurting. I cant help but cry, because I understand what theyre going through, and I truly know how they can be whole again.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? A new sense of hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ!
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I think I began to realize that I had my own Silent Screams that I needed to deal with. Many past hurts surfaced as well as insecurities that I've held onto for a long time. Working on this album was a real healing time for my own heart.
