Countless people disappear and America's president frantically demands answers. Chief of Staff Brad Benford knows the truth, but will telling it destroy his career---and his chance to serve God amid the post-rapture chaos? Weaving the intrigue of The West Wing with Left Behind suspense, Hart delivers an explosive political page-turner picturing the tribulation's opening days. 350 pages, softcover from Tyndale.
From the back rooms of the U.S. government to the world stage of the United Nations,
End of State explores the world of politics and government as it is changed forever by the Rapture.
This new series, combining the explosiveness of the Left Behind universe with the immediacy of West Wing-style political thrills, takes the Rapture and ratchets up the tension to a fever pitch. Written by political insider Neesa Hart, who has won prestigious awards both for her writing and for her youth ministry in churches across America.

I enjoyed this book even more than the LEFT BEHIND SERIES, it is a great add on to that series, but it is a more deeply written book. What a great book!

I found the book to be okay. I don't know if I'm going to order the rest of the series. The author spent too much time with the peoples feelings. I feel the intensity of how the people will be feeling at a time like this, but the author went on too long, too many pages and I would lose track of what was going on in the story. Thank you

End of State was reveting addition to the Left Behind series. Neeha Hart captures a eye opening look of seats of power with political individuals who are Left behind.

This book is awesome.
Brad, the Chief of Staff for the President is watching a Laker's basquetball game on TV. All of a sudden some of the players disappear. Brad, who has been very active in his home church, but in turn has never had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, is left behind. Brad instinctively suspects what is going on.
Marcus, the minister of a large and influential church in Washington, is also "Left Behind."
The story unfolds as both Marcus and Brad realize what the "disappearances" are all about. Brad also uncovers that a colleague has been murdered. While investigating the "disappearances" and the White House murder, Brad comes to know the Lord through the testimony of Marcus and the power of the Holy Spirit.
And so, life after the rapture unfolds in the political arena. Is it a foreign attack, a nuclear attack, what? Offered answers don't make sense except for the fact that Jesus has gathered his own and taken them to heaven... A MUST read.
Completely true to the Word. Beautifully crafted. Volume 2 is due this summer.
