It was great to read other people's perspectives of dealing with infertility and the way it changes your life.

This book is an excellent guidepost to those who are coming to terms with the acceptance of infertility in their lives.
Empty Womb, Aching Heart is a well crafted anthology of stories told by women and men struggling with infertility. Related in the first person, these are actual stories of all too familiar events - Mother's Day, a failed adoption, another useless round of infertility tests. This book faces head on the resultant impact that infertility can have on your faith and understanding of God in your life.
There are not a lot of unreal endings here, instead these are thoughtful accounts by people who have faced a world where their most heartfelt dream of a child may not come true. Each of these stories is a little gem, with its own hard won yet illuminating flash of understanding. To achieve true healing and return to trust in God, each person must come to terms with the lose of their desire and what God's love means to them.

This book was exactly what I needed and it came at the perfect time. It is exactly what the author said it would be. No help in regards to how to fix your infertility issues but it showed me that there were many christian couples who are faced with the same issues that I am currently dealing with. There are many couples who have these problems but no one has taken the time in letting us know that we are not alone!!! That GOD is with us every step of the way. Thank you Marlo for this inspirational book, may GOD bless you and each and every person who had a say in this project.

Tell us a little about yourself. Even when I was a little girl and boys had
cooties, I knew that someday I’d grow up, get
married, and have children. After all, didn’t
everyone? But the years passed, and no children
came. Yet, advice was plentiful. Everyone who
discovered that we were having trouble conceiving
volunteered their own magic cure. Our fertility
specialist loaded us down with pamphlets,
articles, and information on web-sites. But,
despite all the information, my heart still felt
as if it were breaking every day. And the
specialist offered no cure for that.
What was your motivation behind this project? Eventually, I met others, just like me, who were
struggling with the same heartaches, questions,
and fears. As they shared their stories over
cups of coffee or glasses of lemonade, I
encountered a type of wisdom and comfort that was
not available in the reams of information I had
on infertility. Theirs were stories of
experience, of those who had walked the path I
trod and found a glimmer of peace in the midst of
it. Their understanding and insights changed me,
helped me to see through the darkness of
infertility, and showed me God as I had never
seen Him before.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? This book is a compilation of their stories, the
experiences of people who have struggled and are
struggling through the pain of infertility. It
is not meant to be guidebook on infertility
treatments, or a manual on what to do, think, or
feel. It gives no easy answers. It offers no
quick cures. Rather, this book comes from the
hearts of fellow travelers, like you, and in its
pages I pray that you’ll find what you need - hope, understanding, and the healing touch of God.
