Author/Artist Review

Author: Andrew Careaga

Tell us a little about yourself.  I'm a volunteer youth pastor and a writer who enjoys playing on the Internet. "eMinistry" is my second book about the Internet and Christianity. My first book is "E-vangelism: Sharing the Gospel in Cyberspace," published in 1999.

What was your motivation behind this project?  I wrote "eMinistry" because of my interests in youth ministry and the Internet, and because I saw the need for a book that addresses the opportunities Christians have to minister to Net- savvy teens.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  My hope is that readers of "eMinistry" will gain a better understanding of how the Internet and other digital technologies influence the way young people process information, think about spiritual matters, and share their faith. I also hope readers will gain a better appreciation for the many wonderful Christian resources available online.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I have several influences. C.S. Lewis, Brennan Mannning, Philip Yancey, Leonard Sweet and Bob Briner are perhaps the most influential Christian writers in my life.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  "eMinistry" is my challenge to Christians to creatively use technology to reach the "Net Generation." God bless all who enter this new virtual mission field to share the gospel!
