This book does not follow what the Bible says
February 12, 2014
The book starts by saying that Elijah went to meet King Ahab and Queen Jezebel accompanied by his young servant Reuben. I would like the author to tell me where in the Bible does it mentioned that Elijah had a servant by the name of Reuben. Then the book says, the ravens brought enough meat for the two men to have a hearty breakfast. If you go to the Bible, 1 Kings 17, it stats clearly that Elijah was alone when he went to see Ahab and was alone when the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and evening.
I bought this book to read first before ordering more to give to my Sunday School children, and was greatly disappointed. I read only the first two chapters and couldn't continue.
I do not recommend this book at all, because if I'm telling the children a Bible story, it has to be what the Bible says, not what the author wants to imagine.
