My kids are into manga right now. If you've ever browsed through the comic/manga section at your local bookstore, you know that most of the content is highly inappropriate. I was so pleased when I saw this series that I ordered all of them at once. My kids loved them, but unfortunately the series is unfinished. *Spoiler* Book no. 7 ends on a sad note, and my kids were so upset that I wrote to the publisher and asked them if they will continue the series. They responded to my email that publishing has been unexpectedly held up and the next book should be ready in 2012. I will definitely order it then!
I am always looking for Christian books for my 4 kids to read. They range from 9-16 years of age and its a trial to constantly keeping them reading but to constantly worry about what their reading. These books are a favorite for all of them. They find it funny and are engrossed in the tale that is both edifying and biblical. All 4 of them love this series; I purposely space out purchasing a new book just to use it as a reward.
Tomo is the best book I've ever read. I read the second one too and I can't wait to read more! It's really interesting. It's like I'm one of the characters when I'm reading it. It has lots of action. Hana is a cool girl. I'd recommend it for kids who like to read comic books.
