I was surprised at how hard it was to find ANY Economics curriculum for home schooling in high school, as valuable as this subject is in the life-skills category for every student, as well as the academic plus for those who are college-bound. Thankfully, BJU Press has done a nice job on this text. It's most definitely written for high school (they list it, appropriately, as a 12th grade course), and the 18 chapters fit neatly into a one-semester course. The material and concepts, while challenging, are presented as engagingly as can be done with a subject like Economics(!), inserting political cartoons, short biographies, and sidebars into each chapter. The section and chapter-end reviews are generally well-designed to help the student solidify the concepts---while maybe not all are essential, don't be tempted to skip over the questions, which are a critical part of the course. The authors do get a little preachy at points throughout, especially in the final chapters, which is not particularly helpful nor necessary, and does warrant a slightly lower rating in my opinion. Overall, however, this is a high-quality, comprehensive Economics text that's the best I've found and one I'd definitely recommend.
