Once again, thanks Bryan Davis!

Wow! From some of the other reviews, I got the impression that the Echoes from the Edge series was not nearly as good as his other, more popular series. Well after reading this trilogy, I felt that the books just lacked some of the lovable, awesome characters that I had grown to love from the other series (Dragons in our Midst, Oracles of Fire), but I was intrigued by the unique plot and the nonstop action that this trilogy displayed! Bryan Davis has not let me down yet, because this series is still wonderful and heartwarming. He is known for the inspiration that he so brilliantly weaves into his books, and these books are no exception! Thank you so much for another breathtaking adventure, Bryan Davis!!!!
I thought this series was compelling and engaging. I found myself caught up in these series and couldn't wait to find out what happens next to Nathan and Kelly. One word of warning, once you start reading you can't put the book down, so be sure to have all 3 books purchased! I especially enjoy how Mr. Davis weaves beautiful Biblical values and theology into his books. I highly recommend these books to adults and teens!
This series is a nice addition to any Bryan Davis collection. I'm not sure whether to classify it as Fantasy of Science Fiction. It seems to have elements of both. While it's pretty good, it isn't quite up to par with the excellence of his Dragons in our Midst and Oracles of Fire series. This story's characters are not quite as easily loved as the ones in the other series. The storyline is also much harder to follow as the main characters are popping back and forth between three extremely similar Earths, the dream realm, and the misty world. It is very challenging to remember who goes where, who from what earth is good, bad, or has been killed. I kept having to backtrack to try and figure out who was where and when. But they aren't too bad. Oh, and by the way. Bryan Davis is coming out with two brand new fantasy series that tie into each other. They do not relate to DIOM, OOF, or Echoes in any way. They aren't even going to be on earth. And they do include dragons - only bad ones this time. They sound quite exciting. Be watching for Dragons of Starlight's first book, Starlighter, to coming out in April of 2010. the first book in the yet-to-be-named tie-in series should be avialable sometime around September. Check them out!
