Author Bio

Clayton King, a pastor, evangelist, missionary, and author, has been dedicated since age 14 to proclaiming the gospel and calling Christians to live out the life of Jesus. He has spoken to millions of people in 30-plus countries and written numerous books, including Dying to Live, Amazing Encounters with God, and 12 Questions to Ask Before You Marry (coauthored with his wife, Charie). Clayton loves good books, the outdoors, strong coffee, dirt bikes and four-wheelers, and especially his wife and children.

Clayton King presents a bold paradox within his book Dying to Live: in order truly to live, we must die to ourselves. King challenges his readers by asking provoking questions about the way we, as proclaimed Christians, live out each day. How do we spend our time and money? How much effort do we put into witnessing? What is our prayer life like? Are we evidencing the cause of Christ in our thoughts and behavior and plans and occupations?

King’s 165-page piece is packed with powerful examples of previous leaders, martyrs, and pastors who sacrificed everything for a much greater cause: God’s cause. It is within these messages that we begin to understand what it means to die for Christ. King makes it obvious that the commitment made by the apostles and disciples is not out of date in the 21st century.

Dying to Live states its point clearly. King is not afraid to step on toes or offend, but he also encourages lukewarm Christians to set their lives on fire for Christ.

Prepare yourself for a fast paced, well-written, and intuitive guide on how to die and lose everything, yet gain something much better in the process. – Nandy Rajanayakam, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
