In This Series
In a fast, fun style all his own, Dave Stotts explores the rich history of America and the Revolutionary War era. We start in Philadelphia, making our way through Germantown and Valley Forge.
Finally, Dave tours beautiful Virginia for stories about the historic homes of Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and James Madison. As always, Dave includes the Christian influences that have shaped history.

Mary Ward2 Stars Out Of 5September 6, 2010Mary WardI was disappointed in this series after reading all the great reviews and viewing the trailers. Dave Stotts' approach is definitely fast paced but almost too fast with historical facts being peppered in between his travelogue comments. I live in Virgina and know more could be said. The first episode jumps from the founding of Jamestown crossing the state to Woodstock and a biography of a Revolutionary War hero almost 180 years later in seconds. He then traveled back across the state to Wiliamsburg, of which no real history was given, then to Yorktown. Stott's staccato-like delivery and lack of continuity between subjects left me in a whirl-wind. There was no context to connect the different segments of the episode. In order to use this for education I have to break this up into tiny bits to incorporate it into my curriculum. Otherwise it will just be an entertainment overview of some interesting tidbits of information. Overall, a disappointment.
Janice Noble5 Stars Out Of 5February 19, 2010Janice NobleI've ordered the entire series for our 8-9 year old grandsons. Being from Virginia and being able to actually be on-site is wonderful. Dave Stotts really makes history come alive.
