We love his perspective on things. He loves to add a little comedy to each film that really keeps all of us engaged. There is so much to learn in these films you will have to watch them again and again. Our kids ask to watch these and don't want to stop until we have finished the whole disk.
kevin2 Stars Out Of 5August 18, 2010kevinWe watched this as part of a 4-disc set: Rome, Greece, East-meets-West and this one. Good, though even the kids got dizzy (and one almost threw up) with the tornado-cam "style" of camera"work". Through the entire series the same 3 or 4 ancient sepia scenes are used to illustrate various events and places - like those are the only 4 images ever of the ancient world? Otherwise a nice little series, but the American disdain for other cultures shows up a few times and is sad to watch. Dave could do with a cross-cultural module at his Bible College (or did he sleep/bunk that class).
Robert Morris5 Stars Out Of 5July 11, 2008Robert MorrisI used it when I taught about the Seven churches in Revelation. It is fast pace, and very informative.
Ann Yount4 Stars Out Of 5September 27, 2007Ann YountI have to say...The Drive Thru History is perfect for Jr.high ages. It is very fast paced, so there are times that I needed to 'pause' it to review some topic or point in the DVD..My boys loved it..we learned a lot about the Bible through this DVD that we didn't know, and it caused us to want to open up the book of Ephesians to understand better the letter Paul wrote to the Ephesians. Very interesting.
