Ok lets start off with the good points. First of all, its AMAZING! Second of all, it has a lot of surprises, and good ties for loose ends, you have to read this book. Now lets go for the bad points. The beginning(say the first 13 chaps which actually isn't a lot considering there's 55 chaps.) is a little slow. Second of all, the main character,Kale, annoyed me a little bit, she was a little too whiny, but Mrs. Paul made up for it with providing Bardon, Kale's husband, who was so gracious and easy going, but still stood firm and would let her get overly annoying. But other than those two minor details, this book was awesome and it will keep you wanting to read a ton more!! I wish she was continuing this amazing and magical, enthralling book series.

I wonder how I ever thought I wouldn't like this book. From start to finish it was such a thoughtful compelling read. When we start and Kale is searching for a hidden evil in her castle, and you are sucked away into the story. To the last chapter, A final stance against evil that totally swept me away. and then throughout the story there was always lesson intertwined in the protagonists adventures. I was never bored when I read this and spent ever spare second reading it. Compared to work in it's genre. I think she definitely jumped above Batson in this conclusion and ranked with C.S.Lewis and with Donita's way of bringing in truth into her story's. I was very saprized in Meany places but they were all good saprizes. I was very satisfied. and closed the book with a snap and incredible urge to read again.
