To some, the concept of having faith in a higher power or a set of religious beliefs is nonsensical. Indeed, many view religion in general, and Christianity in particular, as unfounded and unreasonable.
Norman Geisler and Frank Turek argue, however, that Christianity is not only more reasonable than all other belief systems, but is indeed more rational than unbelief itself. With conviction and clear thinking, Geisler and Turek guide readers through some of the traditional, tested arguments for the existence of a creator God. They move into an examination of the source of morality and the reliability of the New Testament accounts concerning Jesus. The final section of the book deals with a detailed investigation of the claims of Christ. This volume will be an interesting read for those skeptical about Christianity, as well as a helpful resource for Christians seeking to articulate a more sophisticated defense of their faith.
NORMAN L. GEISLER (PhD, Jesuit Loyola University) is author or coauthor of some sixty books, including The Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics and his four-volume Systematic Theology. He has taught at the university and graduate level for nearly forty years and has spoken or debated in all fifty states and in twenty-five countries.
FRANK TUREK (PhD, Southern Evangelical Seminary) has appeared on numerous television and radio programs including The OReilly Factor, Hannity and Colmes, and Politically Incorrect. His first book, Legislating Morality: Is It Wise? Is It Legal? Is It Possible? (also coauthored with Dr. Geisler) won the Evangelical Christian Pulbishers Associations Gold Medallion award as the best book in its category.
Eddie4 Stars Out Of 5Great in the beginning, but not sound at the end with theological assertions.April 22, 2015EddieQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I read this book and it helped me understand about the faith it takes to be an unbeliever. It helped me prepare myself for conversations with unbelievers/atheists or those struggling with doubt. I was once an unbeliever myself. Although some of the theological material, near the end is not sound, the material for most of the book is valuable and inspiring.
Sherdah5 Stars Out Of 5I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an AtheistNovember 22, 2014SherdahQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I read this book at least 8 years ago, and it really helped me to understand science discoveries now in the light of the Christian faith. Before I would struggle with how to understand them together, and how can we know other religions don't have the final answer. This book is so logically written, with fantastic supporting detail, it helped me to draw my own conclusions. I have suggested this book to others who struggled with their faith, since they were such science minded people. I watched their faith just soar and they had complete peace in knowing who God is and his place in the creation story and in their lives. Since then I started to do more research via my local Reasons to Believe chapter, and a whole hosts of other books. However, in my opinion, this is the best book I've read on the subject, and still my favorite. I recently purchased 2 copies as presents to friends.

So far it doesn't really mention anything about the Bible or its scriptures, Its just from a scientific standpoint. When i first got this book in the mail and flipped through the pages i was a little worried about how difficult it would be to read and understand, but actually the way its laid out is really simple. When I read a book i usually like the chapters to be short, but the chapters are pretty long in this book, despite that- when i start a chapter its really hard for me to put down. The arguments in this book are great and a big eye opener, It will definitely help build your faith or help any skeptic come closer to the truth.
TylerAge: 25-34Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Well presentedSeptember 11, 2013TylerAge: 25-34Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is an excellent one to get the head and heart in alignment. I think a lot of the time our hearts are ready to accept the good news of the gospel, but our minds are swayed by the "intellectuals" in our society to think of the Bible as foolish or a book of impossible stories. This book by Geisler and Turek removes that cognitive dissonance, and gives a firm foundation to know your faith and be grounded in reality, so your heart can be engaged with the message. An excellent book I would recommend to anyone with doubts about the validity of their faith, or anyone who is new to the faith, as it answers questions that are bound to come up.
