Product Description

Norman Geisler and Frank Turek show, first of all, that truth is absolute, exclusive, and knowable. From there, they proceed to demonstrate that the cardinal Christian doctrines are true beyond reasonable doubt, all convincing for you as a Christians to believe, but requiring a leap of negative "faith" if an atheist is to disbelieve them.

Publisher's Description

Geisler and Turek argue that Christianity requires the least faith of all worldviews because it is the most reasonable. A valuable aid to those interested in examining the reasonableness of the Christian faith.

Author Bio

Norman L. Geisler is author or coauthor of some sixty books, including The Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics and his four-volume Systematic Theology. He has taught at the university and graduate level for nearly forty years and has spoken or debated in all fifty states and in twenty-five countries. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Loyola University and now serves as president of Southern Evangelical Seminary.

Frank Turek holds two Master’s degrees and is pursuing a doctorate in apologetics at Southern Evangelical Seminary, where he serves as vice president. He has appeared on numerous television and radio programs including The O’Reilly Factor, Hannity and Colmes, and Politically Incorrect. His first book, Legislating Morality: Is It Wise? Is It Legal? Is It Possible? (coauthored with Norman Geisler) won the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association’s Gold Medallion award as the best book in its category.

this book is logically and rationally sound. it is philosophically on point. it is biblically solid in theology. there is a simplicity in the writing which makes it accessible and usable by the average layperson. i wish that it had been a textbook when i was going through college and seminary. best book i have read this year. it will go on my reread list and my highly recommended list. atheists and agnostics need to be put on notice that if they read this book with an open mind they will find God exists. for disciples of Christ who want an excellent resource to prepare them and give them ammunition to defend their faith, this book is the one to purchase first.

A crystal clear presentation of evidence that leads to an undeniable conclusion of truth. Any open-minded individual seeking to make an assessment beyond any reasonable doubt will find the single work contains all the evidence necessary. It is concise and even entertaining.

I had high hopes for this book as a teaching tool but it turned out to be full of errors in both history and science. Very dissapointing to say the least. There were a few error-free chapters, but it is hardly a reliable source. It basically gives misinformation and passes it off as true. I don't think it is malicious deceit by the author but only a matter of him trying to write about stuff that is beyond his area of knowledge.

This book provides a broad foundation for the existence of God and the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The material should be thought to all Christians so we can understand our faith is truly solid. I plan to share this book with my children as they develop their understanding of Christianity. The book would also be good for a small group.
