What do you do when the past youve been skirting shows up at your door with cameras rolling?
Aubrey James ruled the charts as the queen of country for over a decade. Shed rocketed to fame in the shadow of her parents death-both of them pioneers in Gospel music. But while her public life, high profile romances, and fights with Music Row execs made for juicy tabloid headlines, the real and private Aubrey has remained a media mystery.
When a former band member betrays Aubreys trust and sells an "exclusive" to a tabloid, the star knows she must go public with her story. But Aubreys private world is rocked when the Inside NashVegas interviewer is someone from her past-someone shed hoped to forget.
All the moxie in the world wont let this Diva run any longer.

Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a 40-something pastor's wife living in central Florida. I graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Journalism. I worked in the corporate software world for seventeen years. Did everything from travel as a trainer to project manager. I love writing fiction. It's the best job ever. I love reading, photography, animals... wait, I sound like I'm trying for Miss America. Well, that's a little about myself.
What was your motivation behind this project? My editor and I wanted to do a second NashVegas book. Since the first story, Lost In NashVegas deals with a woman coming to Nashville to become a songwriter, we thought we'd look at the music business from the other side. So, I came up with superstar, Aubrey James. I read bios of all kinds of great music artist. Studied the record label industry as well as televison production. Then I hashed out Aubrey's story. It was hard in some ways since I've never been a country diva, but I also had a great time writing this book. Shout out to Christian artist Kim Hill for letting me pick her brain.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I tried to create a great read about a flawed, but lovely character who finds truth by healing her past. While I wrote about a superstar, I think people will relate to her convictions and struggles.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? So many, so little space. I admire people who work hard, who stick with a project or job even after failing. We never succeed if we don't fail now and then. Susan May Warren, Christine Lynxwiler, Colleen Coble, Tracey Bateman, Kristin Billerbeck, Diann Hunt are a few of my favorite authors and friends.
