One of the better acts in hardcore Christian, I must say I like Disciple. This is the first cd of theirs I've bought, and if you like hard rock and don't mind some screaming, this one is for you. Although the screaming hurts the album just a little, it can be kind of monotonous sometimes. Still though, this is a great album, and the songs "Regime Change," "Love Hate (On And On)," "My Hell," "Someone," "Dive," and "No End At All" are all great, but the true gem here would be "After The World," a powerful ballad sung from Jesus's point of view, and probably one of the best Chrisitan rock ballads ever. It should have the Dove award it was nominated for.
Scars Remain is my favorite c/d by Disciple. Their lyrics are deep and meaningful. My favorite song is 'Love Hate (On and On)'. The song is about terrible things that are going on in the world. For instance, in the second verse, Disciple says,"..a mother is willing to give her life, while another one throws away her child..." But then, in the conclusion, Disciple cries out to God for help... "Oh Jesus I can't take the hate anymore, save us from ourselves before...(chorus)" This song comfirms the evils in the world, but also that Jesus can help us and bring love to the world through his servants. One day, the hate will end, and the evil will end. Trust Jesus. He will help you love those you thought you could never love. Thank you Disciple.
