Amie Zordel's Dinosaurs, Stars of the Show is a bright and colorful hardback book, narrated in rhyming text by the young main character. She is watching a show about dinosaurs on a Saturday morning TV show when she hears a scientist say that the dinosaurs evolved millions of years ago and were not alive at the same time as mankind. She knows that what the scientist said wasn't true, and pulls out her Bible to verify what it says. She reviews that God made the world, the days of creation, mentions the behemoth from Job 40:15, and even discusses the number of generations mentioned in Luke three which would make the world only 6,000 years old.The text contains a great amount of information while keeping the book pleasantly readable:If you count the generations you'll agree, from Adam to Noah to Jesus to me,six thousand years is the actual spanbetween now and when the world began. This book would be a great reference to pull out, especially as kids are confronted with evolutionary ideas on TV shows, in library books, in school, etc. It really gives a very complete answer to the question of how long ago dinosaurs lived on the earth and where they came from! I also appreciate that it acknowledges what children will hear from secular sources while pointing them back to the Truth of God's Word.
