This bok was introduced to me by my father when I was 13 years old. This book shows how a young man can deal with adversity and strife with dignity, hard work, and honesty to develope himself into a productive person whos life makes others peoples lives better as well.

I met Mr. Moody when I was 14. He lived 3 blocks from my grandfather in San Mateo in the 1960s. I'll never forget how he taught me how to sign my name with a confident "flair" and how the theme he wove into each of his books would lead to a young man developing an ability to gain peoples trust through hard work and honesty at every turn.

In Horse of a Different Color and The Dry Divide, Mr. Moodys business dealings became a role model for me as I grew up. His ability to gain the trust of people through his hard work and honest business dealings are the exact lesson my father wanted to pass on to me. Once my own father discovered Mr. Moodys books, he wanted to share the experience with me as soon as I was old enough to understand the seriousness of treating others as we all hope to be treated. My own fathers teachings, and those of Mr. Moody's through his books made me into a better man. And because of these books and his influence I developed myself into a person my parents, and later my wife and own chidren are proud of. Life is hard no matter how well we dedicate ourselves to an honest and useful existence. And I can only urge everyone reading this review to include Mr. Moody's books into your own families shared experiences. As years roll by, your kids and wives will remember fondly the wonderful feeling that comes when Christmas eve, or Thanksgiving dinner includes reminissing about the memories that Mr. Moody's books will place in your shared memories. These books are a gift from heaven, and not to be missed by anyone who loves his family and wants for them the kind of ife that is possible through honesty and hard work. I and my famly are forever grateful for the many true (and uplifting) stories Mr. Moody has shared with us.

Our church library had to pull this series. There are over 30 curse words in book one and many of those are using the Lord's name in vain. Book two has over 20. We probably will not check the rest. I have contacted CBD and asked them to quit selling the books.
