Parents of children with learning differences such as ADD/ADHD and Dyslexia have a unique and exciting road ahead of them. This phenomenon may have been perceived as a burden when their child was first diagnosed with these learning differences, but know that God does not make mistakes. Therefore, parents must refocus their personal expectations of what their child should be and find out where God is guiding this child. It is time to become Gods helper in raising His child. In Of Different Minds, readers will learn why their child is wired a little differently and how to cope with and educate this incredible person. The book also addresses parental denial and the mystery and fear surrounding ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia and related disorders; the toll on marriage; how to parent these children; the future of the family and the future for these children. Can a learning different child be successful? Of course, says Maren Angelotti, and here are the tools to set parents and their children on the path to success.

I wish I had read this book four years ago. Maren Angelotti does a phenomenal job of enlightening the parents of children with ADD/ADHD and other learning differences. The subtitle is a little misleading. I picked up the book because my son has ADD-combined type and I have been struggling to have patience and understanding. Surprisingly, this book covers children with all types of LD. I gained so much from reading this book and the information set our family on a wonderful course. Maren provides resources that we utilized immediately upon finishing the book. We now have so much more information in order to set our son up for a happy and successful life. Our son will not fall through the cracks! I recommend this book for any parent with a child that struggles in school. You will gain a whole new understanding of the amazing and gifted child that God gave you.

JESSICA FRANKS5 Stars Out Of 5February 2, 2009JESSICA FRANKSThis book was amazing. I have quite a library going of books on ADHD, hoping to soak up as much understanding and helpful insight as possible. For me, this book was written on a level that didn't ever "go over my head" with scientific lingo and also included a lot of information that gives a clear understanding of what our children NEED from us as parents to better understand and help them. And, to remind us God doesn't make mistakes and we are to embrace our children's differences!
