Each devotion reveals who Jesus Christ is and what He has done. In addition to these devotions, this book contains illustrations, which may be used to create a special "Lenten tree." Each of the forty-one days has prayers, a memory verse, questions for children, and hymns or songs to coincide with the symbol for the day. Lenten activities are suggested for families to do together during Lent.

jtrrbr5 Stars Out Of 5Highly RecommendApril 7, 2012jtrrbrQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We used this book for the first time this year and it was great. Our children are ages 6, 8 & 10 and it seemed just right. We look forward to using it again next year. For the ornaments we took turns drawing them ourselves each day (and we are NOT artistic). They stuck better in our memory and we hung them from a string tacked to the wall.
Suzanne Alberts4 Stars Out Of 5April 11, 2009Suzanne AlbertsI appreciated the reading being for both adults and kids, which is why I purchased this book in the first place! We made ornaments to decorate a tree with, one that has built in lights. On Easter, we will tun on the lights! My only negative about the book is that it would require a good bit more foresight than I was able to give it if one wanted to pursue some of the suggested activities.I can't just pull making pretzles together in a morning with 2 young kids! But I like the idea!
